A place is a real number. Every class has a number of places and the number shown is the real one. When a class is full it stops taking enrolments and starts a waiting list, in order, with your position visible to you.
The places column shows the number of places the class holds. Where the enrolment system is reachable it is replaced by the places still free, live.

Nothing in the timetable matches that combination. Clearing the day filter is usually the answer — a discipline may only run twice a week.
Reading this timetable
The places column is the number that class holds, and it is a real number rather than a marketing one. It is often lower than the room would take: a class of three-to-five-year-olds is capped at twelve in a room that seats eighteen, because the limit is what one adult can watch rather than how much floor there is.
The fee column is the Fall Term 2026 fee for that class, and it is the per-session rate multiplied by the number of times the class meets this term. A class on one weekday can cost more than the same class on another, which is not a mistake — see the fees page for why.
The ages under each class name are the honest band rather than a rule. A child a year either side is a conversation with the teacher, not a refusal at the desk.
What happens when the number reaches zero
The class stops taking enrolments and starts a waiting list. You are told the position you would be in — a number, on the screen, at the moment you join it.
When somebody withdraws, the place is offered to whoever is at the top and they have three days to take it. If they do not, it moves down. That expiry exists so that one person who has stopped reading their e-mail cannot keep a class closed to everybody behind them.
A free trial holds a place. A free trial holds a place in the class for that week, exactly as an enrolment does. That is why a full class cannot take one — a trial that quietly overfilled a class would be the same thing as lying about the capacity.
The rooms
Six rooms, and two classes can never be in one of them at once
That sounds obvious and it is the second thing the enrolment system enforces. A room is a resource with a window, exactly as a place in a class is a place, and the manager screen refuses a class that would overlap another in the same room.

One free trial per student per discipline, in any class marked as taking them. It is a real class and the student joins in. If the class is full it cannot take a trial either, which is the honest consequence of a place being a real number.
