Six questions to ask any dance school, including this one
Written to be used against us as much as against anybody else.
Six questions, written to be used against us as much as against anybody else
How many students, really
How many students are in the class my child would be in? Not the room's capacity — the number enrolled. A school that does not know it off the top of its head does not manage it.
What a term costs, including everything
What does a term actually cost, including everything? Ask specifically about registration, costumes, recital fees, photograph packages and compulsory tickets. The answer should be given in numbers on the telephone.
Which examination board, if any
Which examination board are you registered with, if any? Both answers are fine. A vague answer is not, and it is the single most reliable test of whether a school will be straight with you about anything else.
Who teaches the class, every week
Who teaches the class, every week? A named person who teaches it all year is a different product from a rota, and both exist honestly.
May we watch, or take a trial
May we watch a class, or take a trial? Any decent school will say yes to one of the two. A school that says no to both is asking you to buy a term on a brochure.
What happens if it does not work out
What happens if it does not work out? Ask about notice, refunds and moving between classes before you enrol rather than in November.
Where to go from here

Fall Term 2026 · enrolment open · one free trial per student per discipline
Book a free trial class, or enrol for the term
A trial is a real class and the student joins in. It is the only evidence about a school that is not marketing, which is why it costs nothing. If the class you want is full you will be offered the waiting list instead, with the position you would be in — a number, not a promise to be in touch.
