Background
Elena teaches piano and has done since she was twenty-three. She joined in 2013 when the school had one music room and eleven pupils between two instruments, and she built the rest of it.
Almost all of her teaching is one to one, which is what piano wants; the Friday music and movement class for three-to-five-year-olds is the exception, and she teaches it because the person who will eventually teach those children the instrument ought to be the person who first showed them where the beat is.
She is the member of staff most likely to tell a parent that their child should stop for a term. A pupil who has come to hate a Tuesday afternoon does not get better at the piano, and she would rather lose the fee than the pupil.

Every fee here is a rate times a number of sessions. Every fee on this site is a per-session rate multiplied by the number of times the class actually meets in that term. The multiplication is shown rather than the answer, because two classes of the same length in the same term can honestly cost different amounts when a holiday falls on one of their weekdays.

- Piano — One to one, thirty to sixty minutes, and the instrument every other one is easier to learn beside.
What to expect in this class
Expect technique and repertoire in that order in every lesson, a practice notebook that leaves the room with something written and specific in it, and a teacher who would rather tell a family honestly that a term off would serve a child better than a term of dread at the sound of the weekly lesson.
